Four Panel Wooden Mesh Screen Wood carving is a form of craft wherein artifacts are made with tools and chisel resulting in a wooden figure or figurine. A wood carver begins a carving by selecting a chunk of wood and begins a general shaping process using gouges of various sizes and uses a variety of tools for creating details for the surface finishing. After the carving, the artist colour the wood with a variety of natural oils, such as walnut or linseed oil to protects it from dirt and moisture. Objects made of wood are finished with a layer of wax, which protects the wood and gives a soft lustrous sheen. A wax finish is comparatively fragile and only suitable for indoor carvings. This exclusive screen is made in kadam wood. The tools used in making this screen are also handmade. The framework is in one single piece. The patterns of the mesh are work of art known as Munawat art derived from Mughal Art. Specialty of this screen is that it is double sided.
