is a traditional technique of armament and weaponry ornamentation popularly
found in the Indian state of Rajasthan. The word Koftgiri refers to the action
of "bearing" the pattern into iron, an art of inlaying light metal on
a dark one to provide a surface with an ornamental appearance with elaborate
and lavish chiselling gold or silver leaf. The traditional Koftgiri motifs have
a lot of lines and curves which is made with handling of gold and silver wire.
The most astonishing fact about this art is that there are no machines are
involved in this process and it is done only by skilled craftsmen.
