Jangla Saree are most easily distinguishable of all the Banarsi sarees, with elegant vegetation motifs scrolling all along the sarees’s length. It has intricate jangala patterns in form of Jangala vegetation motif that scrolls and spread across the length of the saress, were the word Jangla means Jungle. The nature inspired patters give the style name and is believed to be the one of the oldest weaving technique practiced in Banaras among all Benarsi brocades.
Jangla is a pattern intertwined with colorful silk threads in both wraps and weft and metallic zari threads only in weft that creates the fauna of Kadijah Nakashi Pattern, an embroidery like weave typically design that expanse with flower wines in muga silk and embellished array of flowers, leaves and vines.
